amateurwriter asked us in her last post to think of her if we did Parkrun this week. Siobhan, I'm sorry I couldn't credit whoever took that beautiful photo of you for the Parkrun newsletter but I borrowed it for my poster and every time someone asked me about it, I told them about you and that they could read all your story in the newsletter so I hope they saw the full photo there.
As you can see from my photo, I went to my local Parkrun where I beat my previous attempt by six whole seconds 😁 Several people asked, and one of the marshals called out, 'Celebrate life! Yes, we should all do that!' as I ran past. I was especially pleased to chat to a blind runner and her guide who were very interested in Siobhan's story and agreed that it was very important to seize every opportunity and not miss a moment of life. It was a great morning.

Yes, I'm (sort of!) looking forward to it! (the race, that is - I'm very much looking forward to meeting you ) Are you on the FB page? I'm still faffing about shoes, but it's too early to worry about it really because so much will depend on the weather. And have you seen the bling? It's aMAZing!!!
The Longhorn, Jacs, on 23rd April. Last year's bling was the most fantastic medal of a Longhorn cow but this year is it St. George Not that I do it for the silverware, or anything...
Ha ha - I never used to be acquisitive, you know! Or materialistic. There should be a special word for it because those aren't quite right. I don't enter because I am competitive. I enter because I have...blingitis? I'm medalistic? Oh, darn it - I *need* the bling!
No, I'm not on there. I look like wearing my ancient trail shoes as my new ones are still too hard. They will be grippier on mud though. I suppose we can wait a bit and see what the weather is going to be like. Dry hopefully 😀
It was lovely that people asked why I was wearing it, and said that they had either seen the article in the newsletter or would go back and read it. Runners are a lovely bunch
And six seconds... I was pottering along in the sunshine a bit, so I reckon I can chip away at that a bit more
