For the first time my app stopped working but fortunately I had set my timer to go off halfway so I knew when to turn around and head for home. I know which tree my 5 minute warm walk ends at, so I ran al the way back there, thinking it would be more than 20 minutes run as I must be getting slower. Actually it was almost exactly 20 minutes.. I only ran 2.5 k and recovered really quickly. In the first few weeks I could barely walk up the stairs after my run and literally fell into the shower. I think I need to push myself a bit but my knees are feeling a little tender so maybe just keep it slow? I have started doing strength and flex along side knee strengthening exercises on alternate days to running so I hope that helps the knees.

Well done, that is a big milestone.

The fact that your recovery was quick today is very positive but there is no need whatsoever to push yourself at this stage. Let's hope that the supplementary exercises do the trick for that tender knee.
