Floating on air!!!

I did it, I actually blinkin' did it.

I posted the other day about fearing the 20 minute run of w5r3 and the topography of where I would be running. Not only did I run for a whole 20 minutes, but the first 10 minutes was up a long slow hill, swiftly followed by 10 minutes of blessed down hill (no arm windmilling though).

I had spent the whole day making excuses not to go - teething baby kept me awake half the night, potty training toddler has been exhausting today, it's turned cold and wet and windy... but by the time my husband came home to take over the childcare I was ready to escape the ankle biters and the sun had come out.

I am so chuffed that I did. I never thought I could ever run for this long - literally floating on air.

Thank you so much for all your advice and encouragement - your words were ringing in my ears as I plodded up that hill x

I feel your joy! (I really do actually as I'm still celebrating my Week 5 Run 3 a year later. :) ) It's just the best isn't it? Well done indeed.

My youngest are nine now, twins, when I announced I was going running they wanted to come with me😍 I couldn't let them, I could only manage 60 seconds!!!!😔

By the time your little ones want to do the same you'll be ready 😀❤🌶

Arm windmilling, hmmm. I am definitely going to do that :)

W5R3 is the big one. You're well on the way now!

Well done!

I done W5R3 on Friday and I never thought I would be running for a whole 20 mins without stopping a month ago.

Keep it up! :)

😀👏🏃‍♀️👍

I too feel your joy! Well done. By getting used to hills at this stage you will make great progress.

i bet your smile at the top was huge! And how great to finish with a long downhill!

(I also find it amusing that Health Unlocked has tagged your post as "potty training"!!!)

Oooh. What does that mean? Davoda? Why has it tagged it as potty training? Any advice on potty training also very welcome ☺️ but that's probably for another forum!

Don't worry about it, they have tagged me with 'Cocaine' and worse ;) It's fun sometimes to see the bizarre assumptions the algorithm makes from a 'keyword' in an innocent post :)

You genuinely have me in awe! I did not tackle a single hill until a few weeks after Graduation! And on top of that dealing with the kiddies! :)

You are DEFINITELY a Runner :)

After a day like that you went out & not only nailed a Week 5 run but took in a hill too - awesome. Don't worry about the tag, my first post was tagged with sudden death! It made me laugh because 60 seconds of running did indeed make me feel like that 😀

Well done! I'm on week 5, but have only done run 1 so far - your post gives me the optimism that I too can do it :-) Hopefully on Friday I'll be floating on air too!
