It's amazing what you don't know you need when you get to the shop.......πŸ˜‚

I was going to just browse the tops, especially the purple one.........I do like a bit of purple......not that I 'need' any more running gear, but hey I was just going to have a little look........and what did I find? A plague of locusts had got there before me....empty the cages were....empty......just the odd wrapper and a couple of tiny..tiny size vests.....doh!

Then OH spots the tools......of course.....every home must have a bow saw.......πŸ˜‚.....not sure I'm ever going to use it......but it might come in handy....for something...πŸ˜‚πŸ€”

Mind you I'm proud of myself for not adding to my collection of running gear.....on this one shopping trip.....might have to check again......and there's alway Aldi....πŸ˜„

Love these kind of shopping trips, always fun to come home with something you never thought you needed! πŸ˜‚

Your OH is wise, a bow saw is, indeed, a necessity.

How can you be proud of yourself for not buying running stuff when they didn't have anything to sell? πŸ˜—

Feel sorry for your OH ! At least he got a nice surprise bringing home a bow saw instead of 3 ton of purple tops to add to your, I suspect already bulging, collection !!

I think Purple running top shopaholics can get help these days. Perhaps your OH could blindfold you when at the running gear section ! πŸ˜„

Yes, you never know when you'll come across a tree or bush that needs pruning......πŸ˜‚

I forgot mine today! It would have come in handy when I was running like a kid in a sweet shop over the mountain bike course where the trees were perilously close πŸ˜€

There, you see......just got to work out a way of carrying it without alarming the locals and the local constabulary.....πŸ˜‚

My favourite Rampaging Lady was the Scottish Lass who kicked in the door of her boyfriends Flat one night when she knew he was two timing her with some rival in it.

At about three am the whole building awoke to the sounds of a an enraged boot taking the door of the hinges and then the unforgettable war cry -

'Come here ye #$%&#@&!!!! - Ahm goin' tae gie ye a Glasgea Manicure!"

Then the sound of an enraged female trying to start a Chainsaw.....

I have had a LOT of respect for my Celtic female cousins ever since :)

For God's sake do not go into a certain Bar in Birmingham with it in plain view.....they have vivid memories there of a certain night in the '80s ;)

No-one there today. Had the run of the place, which is why I was playing on the bike trail. Who needs a bike? πŸ˜€

I do have a comprehensive saw collection. Be prepared! Dib dib πŸ˜€

Oh it is amazing what you come out of there with - I once sat on the bus home with an extendable pruning/saw thing that was taller than me. Kept expecting to be arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.

Arresting Officers would be from the Special Branch in that case ;)

Indeed. If they twigged what she had they would soon get to the root of the matter.

And i fyou met up with the Glaswegian lady in my previous post with her chainsaw - it would be a matter of tree degrees of separation!

Ha ha, I was like that once with a 6 ft roller blind on the bus . When I got up to get off, the first three rows of passengers had to duck ha ha :-D :-D xxx

I remember, quite some years ago and in my glorious and glamourous past, an irate customer reentering the Bar that he had been bodily ejected from an hour or so later and - while brandishing a wee saw - screaming 'Y'all messed with the wrong person tonight!'

There was just time before the mayhem started for a few yuppie-types who were 'slumming it' to chortle and in 'ooooh maaaa gawdddd'-affected tones retort 'Oh my - who brings a saw to a fist fight?" and 'Hmmm - obviously one should not mess with CARPENTERS apparently - they must be the wrong persons.."

Anyone with any idea of the damage a saw-wielding Bootboy could inflict on the human body was already clambering out of every possible exit including some of the hardest Bouncers in that part of the world...

Hadn't thought of that in decades....think I need to go for a run now...if I'd had the speed/stamina back then that I now have I probably wouldn't have a saw mark down my left arm..... ;)

Perhaps MW had got there before you Madge!😁

Some handy things in Lidl, I'm only about a 3 min walk away from one! I'm always getting tools from there, got a knife sharpener a short while back..😊

No running gear at LIDL in France, Madge. I would have invested the budget in wine and chocolate instead :) Hope you have fun with your saw.

I really laughed at this because yesterday I went into Lidl to get cheese but came out with a bike pump and a music stand but no cheese! Both items were needed though.

I'm a Brit in the Netherlands so we are having a bike and gardening week here. Looking forward to the purple power tops though!!! 😊

Fantastic! Don't you just love it! πŸ˜‚ I stress the bow saw is not actually mine.....(the bottles of fizz are though πŸ˜‰)
