W3 R1- done

I don't check what I need to do in following week, cause I am afraid I will give up. It was surprise when I hear that I need to run for 3 min. Thought for a second I won't manage but I did. My pace was a pace of snails but I still run:) so I am happy:) if I can do it, you can do it:) plus no hat needed today:)

Well done!

I have mixed feelings about whether it makes sense to look ahead or not (I did) but at the end of the day I guess we should all just do what feels right. With that said knowing that the plan takes us to from zero to 30 minutes in nine weeks, there has to be the expectation that there are going to be some scary looking jumps.

Whatever you are faced with, trust in the program and in yourself and I am sure you will be fine.

I know. There will be huge jumps up with minutes but my tactic is not to check:) I learned which snail pace is going to take me farther:) so still I am full of hope and good energy. Also I smoke only like 2 ciggies a day which is huge improvement :)

Well done you! I'm due to do my first week 3 run today. I did read ahead and was rather daunted. However on my last run last week my left calf became very painful. So much so that I didn't think I was going to finish. I resorted to running so slowly I was almost stationary, and found I wasn't getting so breathless. I thought I was already running slowly (I was a sprinter in younger years) so my tactic today will be to try to keep to that snails pace!

That's what you need to do. My legs mostly want to run faster but I am trying to go as slow as possible. The advice about people looking at your head and don't know if you walk or run is very good. With the snail pace I can run much longer:)

I did it! I think my run was slower than my walk, and it was difficult to keep that slow to start with - but I did it! And was barely out of breath, though my legs ached. And actually easier than the 60 seconds in week 1. I'm now actually looking forward to Wednesday :-)

Good job! You are doing great! Keep you snail running and you will be running 5k soon ;) Do whatever suits you best. I am checking the plan usually a day before run when I am downloading podcast, but I try not to think about it.

I am overdue with my W4R3 due to illness. I did the previous one on Thursday. I hope I will be able to go back as soon as possible, as I am afraid to loose my motivation and rhythm / habit.
