Don't put it off. Make it a date and stick to it 🙂

Good luck. Combine the sessions with healthy eating and the weight will shift. Keep moving ! Moving more generally will help the process 🙂

It is always good to have a goal. Get cracking on it, no time like the present. It is so easy to keep putting things off. It took me ages to finally get started on C25K

Hi and welcome.. well.. no pressure there, then :)

Go for it.. slow and steady does it.., take your rest days, follow the programme carefully and listen to your body! It knows what is best:)

Slim, trim, lean and keen.. that will be you! Don't, as misswobble and boptillyoudrop49 say, put it off..

"Do it now.. sometime, later, becomes never.."

and you have your now date already.. we will await your first post :)

PS

I just got my first pair of NYDJs Size 10 ( they were in the sale though!!!) I was a size 14 :)

Some people started this in walking boots or normal trainers. Not really to be recommended, but better than putting things off. I've run in hiking boots as well - does make you appreciate running shoes though!

Now I have this great image of you.. :)

After my last lurgy, I had to sneak out telling my husband I was going for a walk as he thought I wasn't ready to run. I did go for a walk but I snuck in 4 mini-runs of 1 k as well. And I was ready to run (albeit slowly!)

As JaySeeSkinny says, don't wait, get out there now in almost (we had a chap try the first run in dress shoes, he managed it but...) whatever you have (I started in walking boots... and actually they were better than the first properly fitted and expensive running shoes I got!) You'll start to find out where you like running and something about your running style... and promising yourself new shoes is a great incentive.

I bought some super cheap trail running shoes from Decathlon, they are fab, I am sure I will want a better pair one day but they are doing me fine for now!

I feel so much better, in every way, trimmer, leaner and sort of tighter... a combination of the great exercise and really tweaking the healthy eating regime. :)

Good for you 😀 What have you been doing differently food wise?

After France 2015.... seven weeks of too much hedonistic pleasure.. started C25K.. yeay!

Then upped the Med diet eating regime, which we have had for years.. and then started on Michael Mosley's 8 week Blood Sugar diet.. ( Mr Oldfloss is type 2 diabetic., genes not lifestyle, so sugar ditched years ago..) except, we don't fast, ( his meds make that tricky) and our calorie intake is higher than in the book.

But..we did that, and have kept up a lot of the habits gained through that.. mainly low carb..Plus running!!!! :)

Just got his wife's book of recipes too.. they are delicious!

Bet you wish you hadn't asked now :)

Why wait till 6.03.17? That's over a week away. Start tomorrow and then you have a week in hand in case lurgies (colds), soreness (sore muscles, general aches and pains), tiredness and general life get in the way.

Oops I pushed the reply button too early :P

Hidden go out today! Don't wait! Start running with whatever shoes you feel most comfortable. Your new running shoes will be reward for completing week 1 ;)

I started running in my hiking shoes. Now I appreciate my running shoes :)

in reply to IgaT

need to buy em 1st when i get money

in reply to JaySeeSkinny

Gives me time to get new trainers as mine are on last threads

you can get away with any trainers to start with as you only walk with a few tiny jogs in between.

Have to agree with - start now, in whatever you've got. Life gets in the way. Good luck.

Good luck
