Took a longer rest to recover from a very tight right calf. My wife suggested it could be the strong road camber giving a one-sided problem as my legs are strengthening. Will run on the other side today to mix it up. Anyone else heard or experienced this?

Are you stretching well after each run? You may also need to consider calf stretches daily.
The camber could be the cause if its a loop you are running I guess, but if you do an out and back would this not equal things out? As a new runner it is good to be mindful of every possible cause.
Good luck, graduation is just around the corner 👍🏼🏃🏻
One of the techniques I've learned in this programme is sharing the load around different muscles as I'm running. Today my left calf was slightly sore from the start so I ran more with my right leg and also picked my knees up so my left thigh was doing more of the work than my calf.
