W7R1 "A marvellous day!" :)

Right. I understand NHS says "No strenuous activities" before donation. My personal gremlin has been thinking only about that for the past two days.

.

I had to hit it with a pillow and have decided to go for an early morning run instead of the usual 8 PM one.

.

Now, I didn't forget my banana 🍌 this time before the run. Honestly it's only a natural superfood with no added sugars and has become my go to backup before any runs.

.

1 X 25 minute run.

.

I still remember thinking, just after 1 minute of running on W1R1, about passing out in a ditch behind a tube station. Have come a long way indeed.

.

Plodding along with music 🎢 for the first ten minutes and listening to my footsteps for the remaining. I had only gone ten meters or so further on my mid turnaround point. Nonetheless it's a personal best!

.

Straight after, I had a hot shower, plenty breakfast and a little nap 😴 before heading to my appointment.

.

I love my local donor centre on Sundays. Brings me smile every time to see a queue to donate something rather important, in return for absolutely nothing.

.

Back home now, had another banana 🍌 and about to pass out again but under a duvet this time around. :P

:D 🐒

Great run and even greater thumbs up from me for donating. Hope you're going to give yourself a few days to recover before the next run.

Thanks! :)

I was kind of wishing to recover quickly and run the usual W7R2 tomorrow. Probably very late in the evening.

.

I am aware from other threads here that people find it exhausting to jog for few days. Although, I have been eating too much iron food now for the past 24 hours that I have my own magnetic field around. :P

.

Fingers crossed and hoping it goes well!
