So today was W4R2, I ran W4R1 on saturday with the group that the local council put on and so I was determined to run tonight, however, it seemed like the gremlins were trying to throw everything at me.
It was raining for a start but that wasn't going to let that stop me and then I managed to land in a large puddle so my trainer became instantly waterlogged but I carried on, after my second run I decided to increase the volume as I couldn't hear Laura very well so I pressed what I thought was the volume control on my headphones and then realised I had jumped two podcasts forward and was suddenly doing week 6! I can't read anything without glasses and luckily I had a spare pair in my pocket so managed to get the podcast back to W4.
On my return home I was just about to start the final run and my one of my trainer laces came undone so had to stop again (didnt think it was worth the risk of running with it undone).
I finally made it home although I was soaked through and my hair was plastered to my head. I felt proud of myself for going out in the rain and not giving up.
Can I ask what you guys wear when it rains? Do you wear something on your head ? I had a lightweight waterproof jacket on which helped but I was soaked through.
