Another 6am start; better breathing and pacing over all but a stitch or too and my left knee is hurting a bit; did some cool down stretches afterwards as per usual. I got it down but today felt more of a meh run; guess you get those, right? One more run and then it's week 3!
I'm following the Android 5k run app which is slightly different from the NHS - think this week is the same though? 5 mins warmup, still running 1.5 and resting for 2 (for 21mins), then 5 min cooldown. It feels good and I can see my progress coming along

Meh runs are par for the course. You're doing really well. Keep doing what you're doing, slow and steady. The little niggles will gradually iron themselves out. Good luck with run 3...☺
Thanks - I suppose the main thing is building in the discipline and just keep on swimming (or running or whatever you are doing) and I ran 9 minutes out of 21 - that's 3 more minutes than my runs last week so I am getting better and getting more stamina
Well done! Meh or not, you got out there - at 6am!!! - and did it! That's great! You are making progress; some runs will feel fantastic, some will feel utterly grim, and some will be just somewhere in the middle. That's ok. They're still all runs.
True - they are all runs and actually, I'm feeling a lot better after this run than I did on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I was tired and achy, but today I'm feeling full of energy so I must have done something right!
