Where exactly? Upper or lower part of leg, behind knee? Don't try and run through pain, but you've had a few days rest, if it feels OK, try a run, but take it SLOW & steady any signs of pain and you'll have to stop & rest up.. keep in touch..😊

Hi in my shins . Two of them hurt but I have plates and screws in my right leg and it it so sore . It could just be shin splints . I went this morning on a run and it is killing me

I have had various aches and pains over the last year. With shin pains, I took it seriously and I rested completely for a week. I guess it is caused by impact on hard ground, so I would think rest is needed particularly if your legs were sore again today after a rest. When I had this, I returned to running a week later, slowed right down and would only runnon soft ground such as grass and I have never had it since. I now run longer distances and on tarmac most of the time and my legs are fine. Try completely resting and then see if soft ground helps. I think legs need to get used to the act of running but we always need to look after them

I wouldn't suggest running through pain - I ended up on the IC for 2 months after thinking I'd run off a niggle in my ankles. Rest and ice where it hurts. If it's shin pain then perhaps try to slow down (really really slow) and avoid hills. What shoes are you running in? You might not want to spend out on proper running shoes at this point in the programme but shoes which support your gait properly can sometimes really help.
