New running leggings, just need the legs!

Just got my new running leggings but life got in the way of trying them today. So they await my next run at the weekend. My legs don't seem to be that strong yet I can run 8-9km but I seem to shuffle rather than bounce along. What leg strengthening exercises should I do? I have just started some hip flexor exercises, squats and lunges (lunges are hard work) Any other suggestions please for fine fit legs!

  • Regular squats, ski squats and sumo squats and once you are comfortable doing many reps of those consider weighted squats.
