A cold, foggy, hard 10k... but they're the ones that count!🙂

My first 10k for a fair few weeks due to three back-to-back lurgies. I set off aiming for at least a 7k, secretly hoping to do a 10k. Despite the cold it was great running up on my trails today. Fields of sheep amongst the mist and the icy pond at the side of the old railway line. This was a run that started hard and remained that way most of the way round - my legs just a little heavy today! BUT it was beautiful out and I am a 'runner'(!😮) so I dropped my pace and carried on picking my way across frozen mud and more slippery mud and plodded up my hill which eventually brought me back down through the wood and on to the old railway line (now a bridleway). 8k done and there is no way I am stopping yet because I worked so hard to get where I was when I ran my 10 mile race in October..and I may or may not be ready for that Bath Half in March, but if I'm not, then it won't be from not trying! And so I plodded on to complete the 10k , in a not-very-fast-time but felt so good that I am back out there running and building up the distance again. Today was not a good day for gremlins - I left them out in the cold. Today was a good day to run.😀🏃🏽‍♀️😀
