Feeling like a total slacker

I really meant to finish Week 7 today. But it's chilly and dark, I have spent the morning pushing a trolley round a supermarket. I have walked the dog....I have to get all tarted up for a party at 6pm and I will have to spend the evening standing in high heels...

If I take an extra day off and do my third week 7 run tomorrow instead will I regret it?

Hi Sarahcyn,

If you run W7 R3 tomorrow, you still have six days to fit week 8 in.

Then your back on track and you will have the added joy that you will enter 2017 as a graduate.

There's no need for regret's, we are all busy people.

All the best, enjoy yourself and your runs. x

Go at a pace that is right for you Sarah. The important thing is you get out there regularly! Try to plan a time for your next run and then stick to the plan! You are so close to graduation, we await the party!

Nope.. you will be fine.. you have done a day's exercise already...:)... and high heels .. well... speaks for itself..

Go tomorrow and take it slow and steady... no rush.. it is supposed to be fun! :)

Enjoy your party.. and .. you can always take the heels off..:)

It's not a race Sarah, life and other things get in the way sometimes, give yourself a break and 'allow' yourself a bit of a rest. You'll get back to it, it's waiting for you when you're ready.

You never know that next run might surprise you, rest is equally important to build the strength in your legs. I remember going to a running shop once, to an advice session, one of the key things I took away from it was it all counts, walking, running, whatever.....

Have a good evening...😄

Nope. The programme is designed to fit around your life - not take it over!

Enjoy your run tomorrow.

No you won't if you have the right attitude. You've already done a lot this week and you'll carry on doing a lot. Enjoy the party, and enjoy your next run! 👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎉🍾🍾🏃🏻🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼‍♀️😀😀

Extra rest days are great. They give you a little extra pep for that next run which is nice.

Enjoy your party! You need YOU time. Anyway you'll probably be dancing all night so will get your exercise.

Have fun and enjoy. I took much longer than 9 weeks to complete the programme, but it was worth taking the time, as I'm doing well now, and graduated last week (started in August, but had to restart in October). Just take your time... Christmas jollities are bound to get in the way. No stress... 🎄

Well I did it this morning instead. Not my most comfortable ever run. Not helped by having got my music muddled up. Arvo Part definitely does not do running music. Knees are bearing up.
