Back to running

Hello all- I completed C25K earlier in the year and then built up gradually to 10K for a couple of charity runs in the summer. Then decided that I would concentrate on HIIT sessions, kettle bells etc. to keep myself motivated through the winter. However, I'm missing the running! The endorphin hit of a run isn't matched by the classes I do, so back out on the streets this evening. I'm aiming to start slowly to avoid any major setbacks- week 4 of C25K this evening. We moved house recently, so new territory to explore. Will update tomorrow! Happy running everyone.

Enjoy your run this evening. Good idea to go back to week four, I did the same thing after six weeks of no runs due to injury (not a running injury!). Best of luck

You've obviously got a good base-level of fitness so I don't imagine it will take you long to build up your runs! There's nothing like a good run outside, is there?

It was great! Nice and cold with plenty of Christmas lights to admire (or not, in some cases!). Forgot how much I liked it.

Thanks! Just looked ahead to week 5 and really looking forward to the 20 minute run again. Didn't feel like that first time round- I remember the feeling of dread! That's part of the joy- thinking of how much progress I've made. You don't get the same feeling with a class, I find.
