My daughter and I are training for 10k and as the distance is increasing so is our need for distraction, now normally we both listen to music, in my case I downloaded a 155bpm play list from Spotify which exactly matches my cadence, however it doesn't take our minds off the struggle. So last week I downloaded Humans motivational podcasts, they are 20-30 minute stories of people who've started running after massive trauma, paralysis, heart transplants etc I recommend Tin Man a story of a guy running with an electronic heart in his backpack! Both Beth and myself love the podcasts they really distract the mind from the pain
