OMG I completed graduation run

I can not believe I made it! Just completed week 9 run 3. It does not seem that long since I was impressed with week one running for a whole minute. Big smiles now running for 30 mins. Almost achieving 5k need to increase speed a little. Got to 4.5k in 30 mins which I wouldn't of dreamed of 9 week ago. Big smiles

ooooooh Lottie that badge looks great 👍🏼

It can't believe I got it. Something so small means so much can't stop smiling. I agree the badge is good as sad as that sounds

Thank you. Can not believe I am a runner!!!!

Well done ! Good time ! Think I was just under 4k at my week 9. Let us know how your gonna celebrate. After your celebration you can think about your cunning plan for your future runs.

There are plenty of speed and stamina podcasts and a pinned post entitled a Quest where some on the forum set themselves challenges over 6 weeks and discuss success or otherwise.

I'm doing 6K+ and aiming firstly to increase my time and distance . The emphasis being on my time. I have found that when I drop down to 5K run that it is easier and then work on my speed.

Also by doing 6K+ I have set myself a buffer where I can never set myself up for a bad run. I say to myself "My aim was to do 30 minutes running and get fit. Anything else is a bonus"

Like everyone else and probably yourself I like a challenge and vary my route and do a hill and aim to increase time a bit. You will get to your 5K and you'll get good advice how to do it here! As I've done.

Again well done !

Thanks. You sound as though your doing well since graduating. Will have a look at quest sounds good. Need to look at other podcasts now to increase distance and speed. Was thinking about repeating the 9 week but change the walking sections to a faster run. Once I reach 5k I was thinking of doing one of the park runs. Good idea for the 6k and buffer plan. I am determined now to keep up with the running. Celebrating this afternoon by buying a pair of running trainers... This forum has been a great influence. Feels great achieving the 30 min runs. Also impressed I have stuck to the programme and enjoyed it
