I had a few very quiet weeks due to horrible weather, overload of work (I work full time), looking after my two children (1 and 5) whilst looking after my husband (he's fine but recovering from 3 surgeries and 6 months chemo after bowel cancer).
I really struggled for a few weeks to get my motivation back, running at best once a week.
So I took the plunge and got myself a gym membership and feeling already so much better! Treadmill, exercise bike and cross trainer to build up everything I had lost. Last time I run outside was 2 weeks ago doing the W8R3, I ended up soaking wet and freezing.
Not sure I will be able to run 28 minutes tonight on the treadmill but will certainly give it my best shot!
Hope everybody is keeping well and running despite the cold and wet weather.

Great post Sylvie. Well done for joining a gym. The fact that you are planning to get out there to run on the treadmill this evening is possibly enough to get you to 28 minutes. I know you can do it. Stay positive and take it steady. Smile, thinking of your cyber running buddies running alongside you. 😀🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻👏🏻👏🏻 And think how amazing you will feel when you've achieved it! 😀😀
It's good to hear that you've joined a gym and are feeling better. I know that running in the treadmill isn't the same as outdoors, but it can be just as energising when you reach the target. Hope it goes well tonight. Just take it steady, and be prepared to take the speed down if it gets too much. Good luck.
Glad to hear you are taking care of yourself as well as the Hubster and the little ones. We often forget how essential that is. Good luck and keep on running xx
You've done really well to get your motivation back with so much to do. We'll look forward to hearing that you've had a good run on the treadmill. Well done in advance
