Well, that's it, I've just done week 9 run 3. To say I'm chuffed is an understatement. I am so amazed I managed to get this far having never done any running since high school quite a few years ago now and I have to say I hated it then!
It all started off well as usual but by halfway someone had attached lead to my legs and I wondered if I would make it but I thought of what Irish-John posted yesterday and just put one foot in front of the other and carried on. It helped that I'd planned my route out last night so I knew where I was going, the temptation to cut out a section and take the ease route home was strong but I resisted, my inner stubbornness helped a lot there I think
The route I planned was 5k long and when Laura told me my 30 minutes was up I was nowhere near the end so inspired by you guys on here I thought why not carry on and I MADE IT TO 5K!!! I did it in 37 minutes which I think is OK, better than I thought it would be. If I didn't have to come home and get ready for work later maybe I'd have carried on a bit further........maybe
So, I'm off to apply for my shiny badge. I promise to keep it well polished
