Long day of meetings on campus. Done by 4.30pm. So went into Decathlon in town to buy my first proper set of running stuffs, got back to my hotel, had a nap and a refresh then around 9.30pm,went for my first night run, past campus, Kingston and Walnut Tree (for those of you who know the MK maze!) Anyhow, my most comfortable run,six minutes quicker than I was at Parkrun and my new stuffs did the job! Didn't want to stop! My fourth quickest 5k to date!
So the moral here is if you have a bad run, best way to get over it is to go out there and get back on it!
Edited to add the new shoes (and trousers!) as requested
Decathlon great for running stuff but I must look for same as you to see if it speeds me up🐢😊! Brilliant post & bet you chuffed with your times you might find like I do my runs seem better times at night than in the morning! But I'm more a night person anyway! It's just a shame it's so dark!! But we are out there running.... All that mattered... Enjoy Mark😊
