Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going, sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If your a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy healthy week.

RFCx.

I have a busy week this week, lots of doctors stuff for mr Rfc and for some reason that I will never fathom I decided to decorate parts of the house. It's been a slow process but it all really eats into my exercise time so this week I'm making dr's first priority exercise second and decorating can have a week off😀.

Nice one, I like the fact that the decorating can have a week off, that's really considerate of you! Hope the doctors stuff goes OK and you can fit your running in too.

Oooh I'd knock off the decorating for a bit RFC, if you can that is, having got this far. There's a point of no return though isn't there. I think I start decorating at times of stress. Why I think that might help I have no idea!

I am running every other day, training for a 10k at the beginning of December. It's going fine so far. Fingers crossed. I ran yesterday in my tee shirt. Bit of a cold start but I was soon far too hot so shed my jacket

I hope everyone is realising their running dreams. For those on the injury couch/sick bed I hope you'll soon be back to running. Hang in there!

You are doing a grand job on all fronts Rfc. You are right, prioritising is the way forward. Keep exercise high on the list, for as long as you can, for the much needed 'me time'. Xxxx

Good luck to everyone this week. I'm hoping to attempt week 5, run 3 tonight.

It seems a huge step from two 8 minutes runs to a 20 minute run but I'll give it a try.

It should be nice and cold anyway!

Hope it went well ;) I reckon the one x 20 min is easier than the 2 x 8 minutes. What did you find?

I hope I find 20 minutes easier than 2 x 8 minutes.

Got through it! Fantastic feeling, can't say I found it easier than the 2 x 8 min run though! Absolutely thrilled.

Hurrah! Very well done

I thought the same about the 20min run but it went really well when I did it, I struggled at Wk6 Run 2. I struggled to get one foot in front of other but I've just started Wk8 so you can do it, just go slow and steady as the experienced peeps on here say. Good luck

Latest injury lament ... a tight left calf :( Had to pull out of a run last Friday as it was too painful, though did manage a treadmill at a gym where I was staying for the weekend and all though it 'twinged' I kept going. Just about to try again tonight on the road but I'm not hopeful ... Has anyone else had this? It's like I've got cramp in that muscle, just goes tight and then stays around for 24-36 hours. Bl***y annoying ...

Take it easy tonight!

I caught a cramp-like thing this time last week, I decided I'd probably pulled a muscle so iced it as much as I could.

Got to 15 mins then had to stop ... :( I think I need to take a week off ... :( :(

Week 6, run 1 under the belt. Really bad diet choices today so just glad to get through it.

Aiming for week 6, run 2 on Friday night. Weather forecast nice - cold and dry here in Ireland.

2 runs this week so far and hoping to do Parkrun on Saturday (if I say it here I may be more likely to do it 😀)
