That's my first day of the challenge done. It wasn't too bad and I actually enjoyed it. I know the key is building up and things will get tougher in the coming weeks, but I'm ready for it and determined to get there. Losing weight is my motivation so hopefully at the end of it I will have combined the 2!! Good luck everyone!

Well done for making a start 😊 Be a sticker! ☺

Running regularly , combined with a healthy diet, will see the weight come off.

Go steady, slow but sure is the way to tackle c25k. Don't bother with pace, time, distance, speed etc. The only task is to Complete each session

Good luck . have fun 😊

Well done for getting started! Couch 2 5k is addictive, and it makes you feel amazing! Make sure you complete each week of the programme before moving on to the next, and leave at least a day between runs in order to recover. Lastly, enjoy it!!

Well done on taking the first step. Just take it slow and steady, celebrate what you have achieved and trust the programme. None of us believed we could graduate and we did!

Well done, Im on week 5 and the first run of week 1 is the only one I didnt fully complete so you have definitely completed the hardest run.

Once I got my head right mentally, Ive been able to do every single other run so far, my legs are capable of more than I gave them credit for. Good luck with your journey

Hi Stephen and welcome to the forum :)

You've already made the hardest decision, and that was to get off the couch and start the C25K plan, so well done for that.

As others have said, the most important thing to remember is to jog slowly and steadily. Do *not* run! (The pace will increase in good time anyway and you're not racing anyone, so just keep it nice and slow). Always make sure you have at least one rest day between the runs as well.

The only other thing I would say is to get your gait measured if you can by a specialist shop that sells trainers, then (if you can) buy a decent pair of trainers that are comfortable, lightweight and have good cushioning. That will really help you a lot.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of your journey on the plan and don't forget to keep us all updated. Thanks! :)
