Freaky Friday and the light is here

I can't usually take Fridays off but today was different. I had a dentist appointment and my boss was away so I took the rest of the day off. After the dentist I went for a run. If I didn't have to go to work I'd run more often and vary the distance because it's so very good to be outside. I still find this hard to believe it- it's a completely new me!

But the old me is still there so I walked to the pub for lunch. As I ordered fish and chips with crushed peas (?) and homemade tartare sauce I was shocked to hear the new me say 'actually that might be a bit too much for me'. The response I got was brilliant 'Why not order a child's portion?' What a good idea, there was plenty for lunch and I would have felt over full if I'd had as much as my other half had on his plate ~ I seem to be learning something.

When I arrived home my latest purchase had arrived. I am now the proud owner of a Kalenji Decathlon run light. It's all charged up ready to go and it is very bright. I'll let you know how I get on, probably Tuesday after work.

Well done! I've got my eye on one of those Kalenji run lights so look forward to hearing what you think of it. Tripped up running in the dark last week so I really have to get something else. I currently use an old (and not very good) headtorch which I bought years ago for camping. But I don't find it comfortable to run in so I tend to just hold it in my hand and use it when needed!
