Still running with laura

Finding I'm still needing to run with Laura! My 3 runs a week consist of either 30 minute or 5k runs (35 mins) and the podcast time checks keep me going. Are there any similar podcasts out there so I can have a change?

Make a music playlist of your favourite upbeat songs and a few slow ones to cool down to at the end.

I am not sure about other podcasts though :(

I haven't graduated yet, but I see there is the NHS 5k plus :

Give it a try and let us know if it's as effective as the c25k.

I graduated in July and have been struggling with this myself. I still really appreciate Laura's support for pacing and encouragement but am a bit tired of the music tracks. I alternate between listening to Week 8 and adding 2mins at the end and Week 9. I've tried the C25K + but not really enjoyed them. I also downloaded the NHS C25K app which offers 4 different coach voices using Laura's script (Jo Whiley is very pleasant) & the option of combining with a playlist of your choice (which you have created separately), not bad but a fiddly app. Maybe Laura should bring out a termly new playlist podcast! Good luck and let us know if you find any other options! I'm off to check out running track suggestions on iTunes 😊🏃🏻‍♀️

If what you need is a time check, there are several apps available. I use the Nike+ Run Club app and I've set it to notify me at 5 minute intervals. It allows you to play your own music in the background, so I have my playlist going while I run.

The C25k+ podcasts are your natural next step. The Stepping Stones podcasts as they are called, are brilliant and FREE! Still with good old Laura (bless her cotton socks) so you are in good hands

They are tricky! They are meant to be. They get your legs going slow, slow, quick, quick slow but that's good, and your legs will get stronger as a result. Very good way to work towards 10k

All good running practice. You can download the podcasts from here. I think there is a sticky link on the right hand side of this page
