Back running after I thought I was clever

So 5 weeks ago clever me decided that while my mum and I were on a trip to North Wales we may as well do Snowdon. Knowing I was going away I decided to do another 30min run at my parents, the next morning (the day we leave for wales) I woke up with a lovely swollen foot and a slight ache (just like when I pulled the ligaments etc in my foot in January!) but I persevered and did Snowdon. Well how silly was I. After 5 weeks of 'rest' (well as much as being on 12h nights back offshore can give it) and going for short walks on the treadmill I went running again........I managed a full 30 mins this morning and currently feel no after effects :) Hopefully this is me back to running properly again and chasing the 5km target

Oh poor you. Hope you're now truly on the mend and can enjoy your running again.

I hope you got views and not fog at the top of Snowdon for all that!

Ooh Sparkly, take it easy! I've just learned the hard way not to try too much too soon after the IC! Hope it's all settled now and it's all cool runnings from here :)

I'm all set for Sunday :) Not exactly fighting fit OldPossum but I have two legs and a big bag of determination😂

i suspect determination is what we really need for this run😀 I've found it much more tiring than normal running - it's a real mental challenge but we are all set too.

I'm not even sure which way we're going to run. Have tried 2 different approaches, one where we just both hold the band and one where number 1 son has the band round his waist and runs just in front of me with me holding the band at the back and to the side of him (I found this easier as I knew exactly where he was).

Sorry for hijacking your post Sparkly!

Yep sorry sparky! We've found it easier when our hands are quite close, almost touching. I'm most worried about bumping into people around us if I'm honest 😱

Its ok. I was wondering what you were on about as I was getting emails when I woke up and had no idea what you were apologising for
