This morning I really didn't want to get out of bed, it was still dark and misty outside but after the weekend of two 5k events I had rested two days and was feeling a bit stiff, so if I went my husband decided to come with me, and we were only going to run around the block then thought we may as well do our usual short route, so we ran and almost home we both decided that it was a good idea to have done it, at the weekend we both did the park run and an additional 5k on the Sunday I was very pleased as Got a PB on Saturday and another minute knocked off of that for a second PB o n the Sunday . I hadn't realised I was running faster till the unexpected hill approaching the finish , and absolutely exhausted speed walked the hill until a wonderful lady , held out her hand as she passed and kept yelling come on come on, have you got anything left, well I must admit I didn't think I had but she made me believe I could finish running and I did, all I can say it's thank you Amanda? As I've never met you before but wow I was so pleased you encouraged me to finish, on checking my phone after I had run my fastest ever splits and realised why I felt so wiped out but I had been keeping up with a group and feel that if I did that more often I would improve my time . So although I've not been running that long I graduated in March this year I'm still learning and realising what a lovely group of people I have joined,

Lovely! And yes, you have. And I'm mega impressed by 2 x 5k in two days!! I'm still working on 5k (nearly there).

Thank you . ,you will reach your 5k , slow and steady gets you there. The 2x5k on consecutive days is not what I would normally do as its important to have rest days in between as it was I had 2 days rest after the weekend s run.
