Hi...Just a quick update as not been on for a while. Been getting a lot of hip pain of late and its been waking me several times in the night so have not run for a week now, I have been walking regularly though. I am seeing the Dr next week if no better and I plan to try and do a short run on Wednesday. I am a bit worried I will lose all the fitness and stamina I have built up but what can a girl do....I will restart if I have to but I will be back. Hope everyone is running well and enjoying the cooler weather. Bye for now.

Sorry to hear this Jmiss . Hopefully the doctor can help. As far as fitness goes you won't lose much even if you have two weeks off. Sometimes a rest actually helps and improves your running. Best not to run if you are having pains in your hip you may hurt yourself more. Take care and good luck at the doctors. x

That's a shame. I had hip pain in the early days and ended up seeing a physio for hip strengthening exercises - did the trick.
Don't worry, you won't lose much fitness in a couple of weeks.
