Do any of you good people have advice on preparing for my 10K tomorrow morning. What should I be eating/drinking. Should I do any exercise today? Or just any other good advice/tips. I've been training 3 times a week and have done a 10k run in training, so I confident with the distance.

Oooooh how exciting! Racing is a right blast! I think none of us who came off the couch and did C25k could ever have envisaged actually running a race. So when we line up for the first time our brains overflow with information. It is proper fun though. I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy it

Drink plenty today (not alcohol!) and don't overeat!!!!! Get plenty of sleep! I like to eat a meal of a salmon steak and some wholewheat pasta the night before. I add a blob of that garlicky soft cheese to the cooked, drained pasta. Boursin! That's it. I add some spinach once it's all cooked, pop the lid of and let it wilt down.

You might take your legs for a spin later today. Just a short run as you should have been tapering for a week or so before race day. Just a leisurely jog round the blog will do. It just helps to relieve some of the nerves and pre-race jitters that you might get which might make you feel tense.

I would eat a bowl of porridge for my breakfast, or peanut butter on toast for example about 2 hours before the race is due to start. I take a banana with me and some sarnis, maybe an energy bar, just in case there is any delay at the start. You also have some good eats for after the race.

Enjoy it! You can share with us all the details and show us your bling!!

You've been reaching good distance for it, your already eating a well balanced diet and are well hydrated for a runner, with the cool weather you shouldn't need to take on any water in the race, just eat as you normally would before running, your feeling good about it? then go for it! Have a good one!😊
