5K Bubble Rush!

I just had to post this photo of my daughter and me after we completed a 5K fun run. This is actually the first 5K "run" that I have done, as I have yet to attempt Parkrun! It involved two laps of a field, through ten "bubble stations" where coloured foam was squirted at us through a cannon. We didn't run the whole thing as there were loads of participants of all ages, and some of it was wading through waist-high foam! We reckon we ran about 80% of it and took about 42 minutes. We also raised some money for an amazing hospice which cared for my Mum. It made all the early morning runs worth it. I also have my first bling!

Ooh first bling. That's great, and addictive. And great photo of the two of you. Sounds like a blast.

Great photo! Sounds like a lot of fun too, and for a very worthy cause. I think not everyone realises that hospices are not funded by the government in the way that hospitals are, and rely on charitable donations.

Yes, apparently St. Margaret's only gets 20% of its funding from the government, and the rest it has to raise itself.

Thank you everyone! It was a lot of fun and it was great to run it with my daughter, who has run most of the C25K programme with me.

I was at the Bubble Run as well :-) ... great fun had by all although I still have blue legs... I think I'm looking more like a smurf this morning. :-)

I am sporting the smurf look as well! I really enjoyed it and, better still, it has motivated my husband, (who was chief cheerleader), to do C25K! So I am about to start over!
