Welcome, you've come to the right place for all the virtual support and encouragement you could need. You just need to get started - that's the hardest part - and once you've started this brilliant programme you'll soon be hooked. Keep posting as you go through the weeks, and just ask if you need help or advice, there are lots of very knowledgeable and very friendly people here. Good luck and go and get your running shoes on!

Don't worry, many on here including myself with all sorts of levels of fitness thought we couldn't run for a bus never mind 5 minutes or 30 minutes.

No I'm regularly doing nearly 6K. As others will say take it slowly and let us know how you get on.

I'm nearly brand new after giving up cigs and had a wee girl 5 months ago, just started week 2 it feels good, I thought I'd need an oxygen tank with me , was so self conscious to start I ran our driveway in the dark, encouragement here got me to the park and I enjoyed it , as others have said get started that's the hardest step

Thanks for that. my worry is my age, nearly 70, when I try to run, my chest and throat are on fire after about 30yds hahaha

Also I live in the Center of Madrid partly and everywhere is so busy even in the parks.

Welcome. This is the best place to be. There is lots of encouragement and support to be found here. Download the C25k podcasts each week and our lovely Laura will guide you step by step. The general guide is to take it slowly and build up at your own pace. Good luck 😊

You are here so that's step 1 completed. Once you're off the couch you've made a life changing decision. Take it slow, remember to post on here and get help and support when you need it. We've all been there, I promise you. 🐢👣🏃🏿
