No-one said it would be a doddle. As long as you go nice and slowly you can do this. Just have faith in the programme and yourself and you'll do it. Take your time and you'll be fine
It's early days. Rome wasn't built in a day
Early on my calf muscles always felt heavy/sore. With time this has lessoned a bit but one thing i make sure is to stretch my calves really good before i start my run. Before i leave the house i stretch them and then somewhere along my route on the road during warm up I do it again. I just use a curb..step up on them and drop your heals down. Since I have been doing this I don't have nearly the heaviness I used to. I also think the more you run them more those muscles condition themselves making them not feel so 'heavy'.
As you get stronger, fitter and slimmer you might find your calf issues clear up. I always used to have puffy ankles but no more! ☺
