Day/Run 1.

Well after a couple of bad days when I just couldn't get any motivation I finally did my first day, albeit in my fairly small back garden 😁. I feel so pleased that I have done it but I did go a bit dizzy through running around in circles!!! Next time - out in the big outside.

Onwards and upwards πŸ’

Well done for getting started!

I'm sure you will find it easier to run in a straight line. Don't be shy - nobody ever takes much notice.

Good luck!

Well done , youre up and running !

Yes please try outside, I know you probably feel very self conscious , we all did to start , but that feeling of embarrassment soon goes as you progress.

Keep posting so that we can cheer you along your way :-) xxx

Well done for getting started! Try going out - I was very wary but soon realised that no one took the slightest notice of me - except for one person who shouted 'I wish I could do that' at me! I was astonished!

Well done for starting janey38 - I have mainly run outside on the common but have done a couple of sneaky garden runs. Try outside though - it's great and Ullyrunner is right - straight is better πŸ˜€ Keep us posted on how your getting on

Well done janey38 and yes, do try and get outside. I know what it's like to be self-conscious - I used to run in the dark dressed all in black; it's a wonder I didn't get nicked as a cat burglar. I've only just started running during the actual day and still feel sometimes like a great galumphing lump, but honestly, no one gives me a second glance.

Best of luck, we're all rooting for you!

Thanks for all the comments of encouragement. I intend to do the next one with my dog so she'll be happy too!!

Well done! Excellent! Don't let the mind gremlins bother you, push through them, just remember, don't let anything stand in the way! Just do it!😊

Well, we have had people start in their front rooms before now, so well done on getting outdoors.

Getting away from home is the next challenge.

Seasoned garden runner meπŸ˜‚ but going in a straight line is definitely easier and faster too! Well done on starting this, you'll not regret it. Enjoy your next run (and post a picture of the dog) ;)

The first time I did Week 1 was inside in the house! Fortunately I was able to do a sort of loop, but I wasn't half dizzy by the end of it - and the dog was utterly bemused as he watched me circling the kitchen, lounge, dining room and hallway repeatedly.... unless you've got a big garden, you'll be far better hitting the road or path!
