My daughter teenybopper went out for w1d1 today and didn't manage all of the runningvbut I told her not to worry, we'll just repeat till she can do it. Week 1 is hard I remember.

Good luck to any other newbies starting out this week :)

Lovely BTYD. She won't have to look far for that bit of inspiration and encouragement that's needed to get going.

Thanks Wheezer, I think she may need some gentle prodding or encouragement not to give up too easily but she'll get hooked. We all do :)

That's your daughter, mine, mfamilias ' daughter and Sandraj39 's son that I can think of off the top of my head. Bet there are loads of others too. Good to know so many teenagers are out there following in their mums' c25k footsteps. :)

Actually Sandra has 2 sons out running so she must get extra kudos for that. Do you remember that poster we had from Norwich? Can't remember his posting name now, might have been Paul. He was starting up his own Norwich branch of C25K. He got 2 sons running and I think his daughter was already a runner when he started.

I'm hoping for a mother daughter run some day soon too, except it's my mum. At 77 she's decided to give it a whirl so yesterday we loaded Laura onto her kindle (no smartphone yet!), found a bag she sling over her shoulder to carry it and a quick technology demonstration ! Bet she's never used headphones before in her life and ear plugs were just to hide dad's snoring! I'll find out later how she got on 😀

Oh my goodness that would be fabulous! Has she gone off for her first run today? If so, I will definitely tell teenybopper that a 77 year old lady is doing this too.

I will find out later. Daren't phone her till all the soaps have finished on telly !! I'd forgotten how competitive she could be with me but I hope I still want to try new challenges when I get to her age. I will keep you posted :-)

That's really, really fabulous news and I hope she loves it. My Dad has always been a runner so it isn't that much of a wonder that he's still doing it in his 80s.

That's a great age for a runner though, wow. There's a future for us all!

Yes please do, that's just fantastic. We'd all love to see her graduate. What a fabulous lady to take up running at 77.

Getting her onto the Internet would be a whole new ball game - much tougher than running 😀😀

Think my mum is stubbornly refusing to acknowledge her age. Some might say I take after her but we won't go into that 😂😂

Mums 🙄

Can I just say well done on getting a teenager to move 👍 and let me know how to get my 2 to move 😀

Well let's hope I can continue to get her moving. It is funny when they are small, they are dynamos, wearing you out with their energy, and then they're teenagers all of a sudden and just mooch about! My daughter is incredibly laid back. If we go for a walk or a cycle, I have to go very slow to keep abreast of her and even then I still have to stop and wait for her to catch up again and again. If she has to move at all, it is a gentle amble. Fingers crossed I'll make a runner of her though. Good luck with your two :)

I know what you mean I was on my knees sometimes trying to keep up with them but now they need firing up like old bangers. Hope she keeps going will be the best thing for her 😄
