Week 7 and Parkrun PB!

So I'm heading into W7R1 tomorrow I just can't believe I've got this far !

I completed my second park run on Saturday with a time of 36.53 which was a 1.03 minute improvement on my first one.

If anyone was like me unsure about doing park run , either before graduation or at all , DO IT ! Honestly it's the best. I was worried I'd be last, wouldn't finish or be the only one not to run the whole thing but there are so many people at different levels of fitness , old and young , thin and ample bottomed like myself ;) it's really worth doing. And you feel AMAZING when you finish. And this great feeling is down to C25K, you lovely lot and a smidge of determination. Starting running was the best decision I've made in a long while and I'm finally starting to feel like a real runner now !

I am on week 7, and am contemplating a park run this Saturday. Do you do your five minute warm up walk as part of the park run, or do you walk beforehand? I am not as fast as you...very well done!

I wander round while I'm waiting as, however slow you are going, it feels better to be running straight off. Personal view though, do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Good luck.

oh do it honestly you will be so pleased that you did , it feels so amazing to have achieved something you didn't think you could do and I couldnt wait for the next one. It really gives you a boost for the rest of the program too. I do the same as SCGUK and wander around a bit before they start , then head off starting from nearer to the back but there are loads of people that run some then walk some, let us know how you get on ! I think you'll be fine doing it as part of the actual run. I did my first PR on Saturday and went to the back thinking I was going to be the slowest but there were loads of people walking that I then had to dodge past.
