This is my first post. I finished w3 this morning, never thought I'd be running for 3 minutes. Left knee is a bit sore now and I'm already panicking about w4 r1 on Sunday. It seems like a big jump 3 mins to 5 mins running. Help.

Well done and welcome - this forum is amazing - it really helps! I am on W8 now and I found the first few weeks so hard but I have learned from this forum that if you just follow the programme you have no need to worry or panic - it builds you up slowly. Just run slow, really slow and you will conquer each week - Good luck :-)

I will do. I want to graduate before my 54th birthday on the 19th of October. So I'll be in the park Sunday morning.

You'll be fine. Week 3 is actually the biggest jump time/percentage wise (going from 90 seconds to 3 minutes). Just make sure you start slow and then keep it slow and steady. Well done on conquering week 3 - you're doing great! :)

You're fine. Each week looks really tough, but you've worked hard to build up the fitness.

Welcome to the forum, you will do week 4, just like you have done week 3 ;)

Try not to look too far ahead. Just follow the programme - it's got thousands of us through and there is no reason to think you will be any different.

Good luck!

Well done Julie. I'm at same place as you. Doing last wk3 run today. Have same worries as you but taking in all the advice on here and going to go with the flow and not panic😱. We will do it😀

Don't forget how far you have already come - a few weeks ago you probably struggled to run for a whole minute - I know I did! You are doing brilliantly - keep up the good work! :)

Welcome! Congratulations on completing W3. I have just completed W4 & like you was worried about the jump from W3 but it is doable just take it slowly & then slower still if necessary. Having done the run 3 times I feel as though it has got just a touch easier. As others have said, trust Laura, she really does seem to know what she is talking about. Happy running :-)

Welcome! I am now on week 5 due to do run 3 tmrw. Reading posts on this forum is how I have managed this far. Week 1 was soooo hard for me to do, I could hardly breathe!!! But this programme is amazing and I surprise myself every single run. You will do that too 😎😀believe in yourself.

I am about to start week 6 and each week I have thought the next step would be impossible but it isn't. Just keep going as I intend to do. Well done for getting so far. You can do it!
