Completed the 3rd Stepping Stones podcast this morning a reasonable run seem to be getting back up to the distance I was doing on week 6 will try the stamina podcast next as I think that is where I feel I am lacking but I have still managed 3 x 30 minute runs so quite happy with that

Thank you I was going to have a lazy week doing nothing but in the end felt guilty so bit the bullet and went out anyway

We don't do lazy weeks - we are runners 😂😂 - I haven't run for 4 days and was feeling as guilty as hell this morning :-)

I might download the stepping stones just to have a listen. Seems you've got into your stride brilliantly post-grad. Are you sticking to tried and tested routes? Or just going where the music takes you ;) I'm still feeling a bit 'where do I go from here'. I read somewhere on here that graduating the programme is a bit like when you pass your driving test. You now have a license to 'learn'. I remember thinking then..(way back in the mists of time), 'I need to practice, where shall I drive today' - think that's kind of where I am with the running:)

It's just like it! We need to practice our new skills! I remember the sheer feeling of elation passing my driving test over 25 years ago and the scary sensation of going out on my own in my mum's car afterwards. Bit like running without Laura this week. ....

I'm still going to follow the principles of the c25k programme, adding a few minutes each week and trying to run three times a week to build up till I get to 5k. It may take a while !! Off to Brittany on holiday end of next week so may relax my extended programme a bit there but running stuff is being packed and hubby has planned a 5k route for us to do together (With the warm up/down walks I am covering just over 5k now

It's weird having graduated. I miss the programme and need to wean myself off this forum too to make room for the new undergraduates!!

Feel the same at the moment have to find the boundaries of my abilities and have no immediate urge to do park run distance to events being the main downer but things might change. Enjoy you holiday and try to chill out when not doing your runs

Don't worry my kindle is stocked up for holiday reading on the garden while sipping Breton cider!

Could just do with a cider now don't know what it's like where you are but there is not a cloud in the sky in Essex

in reply to MichaelH070862

Ha it's totally grey cloudy and very windyhere! I fancy a hot chocolate!

I was thinking that this morning! This forum is like a drug! I just get so excited seeing all the new posts come up and I want to answer every single one! Trying to just come on on run days but it's not working so far! I just remember back to when I first came on how it was the support on here that really kept me going:)

Have a fab time in Brittany. Will you be running in French ;)

Staying on the tried and tested at the moment I will probably do the speed after the stamina and the might take the reins off slightly until can be consist with time and distance so might be week 9 probably till December

Well done you for perseverance, this week, especially on hols. You sound as though you cracked it - once you could hear Laura.

I may try stepping stones tonight, running later as just got off the road and need to veg a while first! I think that means trying to catch up on here!

I'll be back!

I downloaded the + podcasts but after listening to them decided to just continue building stamina. May work on speed sometime in the future
