Hi! I've completed W1R1 3 times now ( again today). I'm hitting 47 and finding the pounds are beginning to pile on somewhat. I've downloaded this and the strength and flexibility. Any good tips from you seasoned runners?

Yes, crack on 😊 C25k is fab and will make a runner of you. Go very steady! Slow is perfect so don't worry about speed. The podcast/app is straightforward so just follow along and have fun.

I'm 46 and didn't think I'd be able to run for 2 minutes let alone 30! I followed the program almost to the letter and it works. I'm just off out for my third 10K this week. Take it slow, it's not a race, it's fun.

Just do it, it will change your life if you persevere with it... However I would say do it in addition to a weight loss programme if you want to shed pounds. It's never too late, I'm nearly 46 and I started when I was 43. I've run 2 marathons now and I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life, you won't regret it 😎

Thanks, I'm using the good old NHS weight loss programme of calorie counting plus exercise.

Just off to the Park for my 'Strength and Flex!'

Just take it nice and slow and believe in yourself. The programme really works.

Well done. I'm 44 and have seen my weight go up since I turned 40. I stated the programme in March, graduated in May with three consecutive 30 min runs and reached 5k in June. I felt that my slight overweight was slowing me down and increasing the risk of injury, and I am therefore counting calories at the moment. Have lost around a stone now and am going to get rid of another. The combination of running and dieting is great.

Go slow, enjoy the journey, use this forum for support and you'll be fine. Oh yes, and get yourself proper running shoes!

Thanks! Ive ordered some running shoes... I figure I'll be more motivated if I've spent some money on it!!

Careful! Suddenly you will be buying a whole new running kit every season and special watches and what not!💸
