Hi all, so nothing new to report other than how flippin' hot is this! What's happening? First the government dissolves and now so am I!

So, no runs from me for a while, and checking the temperature tonight, that unfortunately doesn't seem likely to change soon.

Anyway, off to sit in the chest freezer for a bit - laters!

I agree. Too flipping hot! When you think most of the best long distance runners come from equatorial Africa - how do they do it?

And here in Denmark, shoes have replaced sandals and we have blankets wrapped around us when we sit outside. Not just in the evenings, all day!

The problem with heatwaves in the UK is that they are over before your body gets a chance to adjust, and most homes are (very well) designed to retain the heat, which makes bedrooms particularly warm at night...

Coming back tomorrow, and at least I won't need a fleece on the way back from the airport!! ;)

Well, being British means you will probably experience extreme heat, extreme drizzle, thunderstorms, snow and then back to heat... oh, and don't forget the wind :-).

Oh I know. It's impossible to imagine at the moment and my packing hasn't got very far... Although as I'm back for less than I month, I hope the snow is unlikely... ;)

I got up at 0440, went out at 5am and did my slowest run EVER 😂 It was lovely and fresh but not sure it was worth it!!

Madwifecarole26 and AncientMum - you both have FAR more dedication than I do :-).

It was 27 degrees on the way home last night and still 24 when I left this morning! I don't mind the heat as much as the humidity, I'm sticky the moment I walk out of the door, so not good running weather for me either...

Doing my week 7 run 2 today. 1 or 2 clouds appearing think will go soon. Lucky I Do a circuit by canal and a small lake with a lot of tree cover. I remember drought of 76 and they made Dennis Howel "Minister for Drought". Don't think will get that bad . I mean in terms of weather not "Dodgy Ministers"
