Hi everyone! SO... after graduating in May I re-started the program again this week. My goal? Speed up! I'm a treadmill runner... and when I did my first training I ran at 4.6mph during runs, and walked 3.5. I've managed to complete 2 full 5K races at 37:42 (approx.) each. Which is GREAT... But in both I had to walk several times and I really want to go faster!
I just completed week 1, run 2 - and I walked at 4.0 and ran at 6.0mph. Let me tell you.. it was HARD, like starting over again from scratch. But this time, I'm 40 pounds lighter and my confidence is much higher as well.
I'm looking forward to re-challenging myself in this program. I have my next 5K race on September 11th and I'm hoping to be able to crush it!
