Time to come back to the fold!

Hi all! I'm ashamed to say my last post here was probably a couple of years ago! 🙊 I got right to the end of couch to 5k (literally had just my graduation run to do!) but then shin splints struck and landed me straight back on the couch again! Well, it's taken the best part of a year and a half to get off it (other than for work, food, kids and sleep of course!) but, locating my mojo once more, booking in for gait analysis and purchasing a gait correcting pair of Brooks trainers, I'm blinkin proud to say that I've been running steadily since March! I'm up to 40ish minutes continuously now and clocking up about 5.5/6k in that time. So...can I please have my graduation badge after all this time?! It feels lovely to be running again (posthumously of course; I still feel like I could die at any moment during the run!) and I've only gone and signed up for my first 10k! 🙈 I've missed this forum and the support everyone gave me last time round, so thought I'd pop by to say, "hello old friends" once more. Sorry for not keeping in touch, but I'm bloody useless at that in real life too...forgive me?

Well done for getting back to running. Sounds as if you are doing really well. I think you will need to go on the pinned post 'Grad badge July 2016' to ask for a badge - you deserve one that's for sure! I assume the gait analysis was useful...how are the new shoes? Best of luck with the 10k - when is the race?

You're forgiven - but only if you continue posting! Well done for getting back out there after all this time!
