It was fab. Totally addicted. And it's helping me to come to terms with less than lovely weather! Thanks

Shoes on...running in the rain is fine once you're out there. Plus you feel even more virtuous on return☺!

Don't I just! I knew I'd go it was the thought of it more than anything. I've got the running bug so resistance is pointless. But I also think of myself as solar powered so was a little worried about running out of juice. 'twas good tho and 90ldfinch was right - refreshing. Thanks.

Treat yourself to a cap! I got mine cheap as chips from Aldi. Comes complete with lighting LED's in the brim!!!!! What more motivation could one need to run in the dark when it's raining.

Go on, you know you want to. Resistance is futile. Oh, while I was there I got a hooded lightweight running jacket too. £6.99! It's fantastic too. I look like a real runner in it.

Lighting LEDs - that might even get my husband into it!! The jacket might be a good idea tho and we have an aldi just down the road. oops. I went in the light - by the time I got there it was heavy drizzle and it was actually ok. Thanks (smiley face but I can't find the icons on my laptop!)

Got a jacket! Although 12.99 in our Aldi, but it's a swanky purple so that's ok. Couldn't get a cap tho...

This is just the start, you know that Polly don't you ? Next you will be drooling over pics of shoes , then clearing out a little space in a drawer for your running gear , then it will be the whole drawer, then another, then your wardrobe and on it goes .....

Fab innit ? :-D xxx

Way, way ahead of you... (although I've not yet got to clearing out a drawer: clearly I don't have enough clothes!). And yes, it is! xx

Aw no cap! So sad. Still, they will have them in again. They were in all colours too

The jacket you bought is lovely! You will get loads of wear out of it. I wear mine most of the time. It will tie nicely round your middle when you get too hot. They weigh nothing so won't baulk you at all

"A little space in your drawer" ha ha. A whole wardrobe and chest of drawers, closet, shoe rack, your husband's too, your chair backs, your desk. You're sunk now, you do realise that. I can't see my desk under the plethora of running stuff. Left to right, tennis ball, sweat band, sun glasses broken, garmin cable, garmin, mp3 player, another sweat band, vaseline, heart rate watch, running plan, race confirmation forms, running calender thingys, Good run guide map print out, large photo from my hill race, mug - a gal needs a cuppa before a run.

I must admit I caught myself, as I came out of Morrison's earlier, scanning the mags for running mags! Bloody ridiculous given that I can only do 3 mins at a time at the moment! Still, it's one of the better obsessions I've had.

My desk is still relatively tidy and only has studying (again...) stuff on it. But I've no doubt the time will come!

I had to laugh after I posted that as I looked to the left noticing all the running clutter on top of the printer as well! Ooops

You can sometimes see cheapo running mags in Tesco etc as they have a charity table of books and mags. There are often Runners World mags on there. You can read the Runners World mag on line I think

I think I need to leave mags for a bit, I suspect that's the beginning of a slippery slope!

Oh gosh yes, you could be turned on to buying more shoes. Perish the thought (she said whilst thumbing the catalogue)

I'm not listening! I'm not listening!

Not what you're looking for?
