Yippee! I just completed w7r1, but had to do it on the treadmill as there is too much tree pollen around outside. I think I will have to do lots more sessions inside for a while and I just wondered if there was any tips for treadmill running as it does seem easier than outside?

Hi i have only run on a treadmill once when i had my gait done so have no experience but i think people put an incline on to make it a bit harder.

Hi, thanks for advice, I wondered about using an incline. I will read through some old posts and see what incline level to use. I normally run where is is quite flat so am not used to hills, I'm scared of them!

Research has shown that when you set the treadmill at a 1-2% incline, it will simulate the "intensity" of outdoor running (make up for the lack of wind resistance in outdoor running). So try starting off with a 1% incline..

Thanks, 1% incline doesn't sound too scary, I will try it on my next run.
