Hello all, I have started couch25k and already feel more energized at W2r2 . After having my son 2 3/4 years ago, It has been a battle to find any time to do any exercise as I have had very little support in the way of babysitting, and my baby barely slept!
Still, now I have managed to find a few ways, one being literally running out the door before my partner can protest he he. I used to like group sports more and not a runner - ever! But my body felt restless and I figured a proper training plan would see me through as long as I just get on with it, no excuses, it's only half an hour after all.
I have found with all the emotional stuff of trying to find/ buy a house and having job interview rejections I am focussing/ looking foward to the run to help bring back a more optimistic mindset and positive feel to my days, it's been a help every run so far, and that is worth a lot.
I'm really enjoying reading about all the successes and advice on here, get in touch if you're a newbie too,
Cheerio,
Liz

Well done you! This forum is like a huge family, and you will get support all the way on the running journey!
The running is amazing and all the other benefits are incredible; especially the emotional and mental/stress related issues. Lots on the forum about that
You will find, empathy, sympathy, encouragement and even the odd gentle push on here
We have all been there, challenging ourselves, surprising ourselves, and eventually reaching Graduation!
Thanks for the encouragement, just did W2r2, all good so far... Will keep plodding on
Hi. You and Oldfloss are right this forum really motivates you and I'm so pleased I joined. When I had a set back a short while ago I saw so many others who had got back up and carried on with far more issues than me and it motivates you to keep going. I am trying to leave 2 days between runs and doing other stuff in between like dog walks but found myself wishing it was run day today not tomorrow! That's weird... Best of luck 👍🏻
