W4R1 completed

I debated whether to repeat W3 again, but with encouragement from the girls at work decided to press on with W4. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but once again miscalculated on when to start for home so walked an extra 3 minutes on the way back. I don't think I've ever run (okay, a slow jog) continuously for 5 minutes in my life before, so this was a real achievement.

Hi Lizzy, you're doing great. No run is ever as bad as you imagine it will be, stick with the program and you'll be fine. It's great that you're getting encouragement from the girls, they will be so jealous when you graduate and they still haven't started moving. 

Extra cool down walks won't do you any harm. I live at the top of a hill, so every cool down is an uphill walk, which always takes longer than it did to walk down during the warm up, but it makes me stronger, plus I get to see my recovery time decreasing. See there's always a bonus. 


The girls have both done C25K and graduated, so they know the struggle which is why they said to go for it. 


Glad you listened to them, and sorry I assumed they hadn't done it. Shame on me, are they on the forum?
