5k adventuring!

5k adventuring!

The ground is soft but reasonably dry so great time to go off road and explore the countryside!  The sheep kept me company and their cute lambs were watching me, air was full of flies of all descriptions, I even managed to breathe one in and swallow it (need to keep my mouth closed when I am breathing)!  So hot, I had to peel off my long sleeved top and just wore a short sleeved shirt.  Change is happening, not sure I am ready for it!  Julie

  • Looks lovely. Do you find it harder running on rougher terrain?  I think it is better for you as it uses different muscles as well as having less impact so probably all round better for avoiding injury assuming you don't put your foot down a rabbit hole!

  • I do find it works my legs harder but it doesn't repeatedly work the same part of the leg so it is less likely to injure me.  I need to fully concentrate too as there are so many hazards: tree roots, sheep poo, molehills, uneven ground so I find it more fun

  • Of course you are!  You'll be fine. You've swallowed a fly so that's done and dusted.

  • No, no, no, yuck! Lambs are great to see but the fly ....

  • Been really looking forward to this better weather too... but love love love my running jacket and would prefer to keep wearing it...

Happy offroad running joolie..it looks lovely but must take some stamina....😮

  • I have to stop to take photos or open gates so I do get a few seconds to catch my breath!  I just shuffle and plod and repeat LOL

  • Just read your incident  of the fly!!! Made me giggle! Lovely pikkiex
