This morning I went out for a run with hubby and a friend. Although I did have trouble keeping up with them I managed a full 40 minutes. The run was in our local forest here in Normandy near Caen. It's called Grimbosq (pronounced Grambo) forest and actually belongs to the city of Caen. It's a paradise for runners, walkers and bikers. There are little streams running all over the place and they run into the big river Orne. It's a different forest in every season and the bonus sides are you can change your route every time if you want (although you have to be careful not to get lost it's pretty big.) Also you are not running on a hard surface which is great news for joints. I still have no idea how fast I run (probably not very!) but I've decided that stats are not going to be part of my running life. As long as I get that buzz it is enough for me. I do understand those of you who like the numbers though. This is me stretching after the run.
