Hi, I have only just stumbled upon this forum, I am a regular 5k jogger/runner whatever you wish to call it.

I have not looked about here much and I was wondering what all this W5 R1 business is all about, I kind of guess it's week 5 run 1 but is this following a programme or something and where is the info on it all.

I run to alleviate leg spasms due to a trapped nerve and exercising it helps to make it go away and if I do not run then I get bad spasms in my legs, so it's basically run or suffer lol.

I am not fast by any ,means but I am not slow either and have been regularly running 5k and a wee bit for years, and it doesn't get any easier it still hurts a bit.

Hi Rob, yeah it relates to the c25k program most are following , it is based on a on 9 week program with 3 runs in each week

It is,was to get us couch potatoes out and up running 3 x 30 mins a week .

Sounds like you are beyond that , a lot who graduate and who have graduated then go onto run 10k's half and full marathons :)

There is other forums here for 5k+ and marathon training etc :)

Have a look around you may find you like it :)

Hello,

when I say 5k+ a little bit I mean 5.1k to 5.4k, I have zero intentions of doing 10k tar very much ha ha, I am bombed after what I do, it just varies a bit on the route I take that's all so I am not just plodding the same route and getting bored of it.

Haha I used to say that before I ran 10k :)

If it work's for you go with it :) we are all different
