One thing after another

I am on week 8 run 1 but haven't been able to run for 5 days first I had a really bad chest and couldn't run for weeks now I have a trapped nerve in my neck which is so painful just seems one thing after another fed up :(

Can empathise... oh dear. it gets frustrating. :)

Be sensible though, the runs will still be waiting for you.. gentle strength and flex exercises.. very gently with  your neck.. and warm olive oil rubbed on your neck.. it will help loosen things up...honestly :)

Sorry to hear that - I sense your frustration. But running is a project for life and this is just a temporary blip. Be gentle on yourself.

No wonder you're fed up but you know it will pass and you'll be able to get back into running. Don't worry too much about losing fitness levels. I found a couple of weeks on the IC didn't make too much difference to those. Being so close to graduation and having to take break is a real downer but you'll come back and nail it.

Oh no! That's really, really rubbish.

It's tempting to rush back out there, but you can't do that because you run the risk of doing yourself more harm (which I'm sure you're already aware of).

Rather than going out for a run, could you go out for a long, brisk walk instead? I found that a nice compromise when I was starting to get over my chesty cough but still wasn't in the condition to run.
