W2R3 Hard Won Run

well that was a surprise, woke up with zero energy, but got those running shoes on anyway even though I really didn't want to. Morning was grey and luke warm until the wind hit me up on the higher part of my run.

With no MoJo running felt sluggish and breathing out of balance, my legs complained for the start and felt leaden, but run all 90 second sections as directed . When I go the end there was nothing brisk about my walking!!

anyway W2 in the bag im putting this run down to a " bad run" and moving on " progress not perfection" is my motto im happy to see that I can do a bad run and finish it, helps build resilience

lets see what week 3 brings :-)

hope you all have a great Sunday

Nick

I am liking your motto "progress not perfection", I'll pinch that for myself thank you!

You got yourself out of bed and went for a run and stuck to it, that's most definitely a "good run" not a "bad run".

Keep at it :o)

I picked up " progress not perfection" from another who was giving it away for free as I do to you :-) enjoy it :-)

Hey Nick, no such thing as a bad run... same as a little exercise is better than none. I went for a brisk walk with a friend this morning and should try to run tonight but finding the hip pain and cold weather less than appealing... maybe another brisk walk tonight :) Looking forward to your next post!

Those runs can often be the ones that count even more- especially when you get to week 5 when the running is longer. Sounds like you are doing a good job of training your mind- which is much harder than body- to accept that you will finish each run, no matter how much you want to quit! I think that run was your most important yet and in a couple of weeks you'll look back and learn from this. Well done and good luck for the rest of the programme.

I find bad runs are unpredictable. On the other hand it is better than sitting home and probably thinking "I can't do this" when you actually CAN do it.

Whatever you did, you got those muscles going....
