palpitations
There is post just above this one about ferritin levels and I used to have a terrible time with running and fatigue due to low ferritin levels and a strong heart rate. I hope you get to the bottom of everything, if it's just the iron, the tablets can bring your levels up quite quickly so that will help. Just remember to take them as directed as there are a lot of things not to have with the tablets. Let us know how the ECG results go.
I have had palpitations since my teens and it has been diagnosed as an electrical problem with the heart's mechanism. Weirdly I don't seem to get them when running. They are much improved by cutting out caffeine - when I drank tea and coffee with caffeine I was having them every ten minutes but now I get an occasional one, perhaps once a day. Alcohol is also a trigger. I was advised to take CoQ10 which helps the heart muscle (and other muscles) to work more efficiently. I thought that would be good for running anyway. Don't take my word for it though, have a look at articles on this supplement. Hope your results are OK.
Thanks for posting the update parcelqueen. I had been wondering how you got on. Fingers crossed for Friday but it does sound reassuring. Week 9?!! Yes!
hope the iron kicks in quickly and gives you a boost, and that the news is good on Friday
